Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Haldwani AND DRIVE TO NEPALGUNJ. (Stay overnight in Hotel or Similar)
One of our representatives will pick you up from the railway station and guide you on a 6-7 hour drive to Nepalgunj. In the evening, we’ll have a welcome dinner and provide a tour briefing. You’ll spend the night in Nepalgunj.
Day 02: Flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot from Simikot to Hilsa and drive to Taklakot.
An early morning flight to Simikot takes about an hour. We then journey by chartered chopper to Hilsa, where the Karnali River descends from the Tibetan Plateau. After completing immigration, we drive 56 kilometers to the village of Taklakot. Overnight stay in Taklakot.
Day 03: Acclimatization in taklakot (B, L, D Guest house)
We will spend the day at taklakot to acclimatize to the altitude. We will do some short hikes around the hotel.
Day 04: Drive from Taklakot to Mansarovar (B, L, D Guest house)
After breakfast, we drive to the serene Lake Mansarovar, situated at 4,560 meters above sea level. En route, we stop at Rakshas Tal, also known as ‘Ravana Tal,’ noted for its tranquil beauty. We’ll then proceed to the sacred, sun-shaped Lake Mansarovar, driving around its Kora. Overnight in Mansarovar.
Day 05: Explore Mansarovar and drive to Darchen (B, L, D)
Today, we don our religious attire to explore Lake Mansarovar, performing rituals by its bank while admiring the majestic Mt. Kailash. We then travel to Darchen, a village at the foot of Mt. Kailash, to prepare for our Kailash Kora pilgrimage the next day. Overnight in Darchen.
Day 06: Kailash Kora and Derapuk (B, L, D Guest House)
After breakfast, we drive 4 kilometers to Tarboche, adorned with prayer flags. This is the starting point for the Mt. Kailash Kora. A 4-5 hour walk brings us to Derapuk, offering stunning views of Gurla Mandata, Ape, Kamet, and other peaks. Overnight in Derapuk. Non-participants return to Darchen.
Day 07: Kailash Kora 2nd day and Juthulpuk (B, L, D Guest House)
The most challenging trek takes us through the Drolma La Pass to Juthulpuk. After an early breakfast, we cross Lha-chu via bridge to Dolma La village. We walk through Jarok Donkhang Valley to Shiva-tsal, symbolizing death and rebirth at Drolma La Pass. Overnight at a teahouse in Juthulpuk.
Day 08: Drive to Hilsa (B, L, D Guest House)
After an early breakfast, we walk for two hours to meet our vehicle for transfer to the Nepalese border, stopping in Darchen for lunch. After completing immigration, we proceed to the bordering village of Hilsa. Overnight stay in Hilsa.
Day 09: Flight to Simikot then to Nepalgunj and Drive to Haldwani.
After an early morning breakfast, we fly to Simikot, followed by a flight to Nepalgunj, a major city in Nepal. From there, we drive to Haldwani for our final departure arrangements.
