Tharkot Peak is indeed located near the Sundardunga Valley in the Bageshwar District of Uttarakhand. This snow-capped peak stands at an altitude of approximately 6,100 meters, offering breathtaking views of the Sundarganga valley. The best time to trek to Tharkot Peak is generally from the months of May to October when weather conditions are more favorable for climbing. Tent Peak, also known as Tent Peak or in Kumaon Himalaya (6120 m), is situated southwest of the Maktoli Peak and the Mirgthuni Range. It holds a central position in the area and offers trekkers a chance to explore the diverse flora, fauna, and cultures of the surrounding villages. The ultimate goal of the trek is to summit Tent Peak, which rewards climbers with panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Nanda Kot, Maktoli, and other prominent peaks. The 18-day trek begins and ends in Bageshwar, but the actual journey starts from Kharkiya, the last road head and a beautiful 'Lake City'. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Bageshwar - Jatoli Village 3-4 hrs drive and 13 km trek to village an altitude - 8,100 ft.
Upon reaching Bageshwar, meet our guide and embark on an 8-9 hour drive to Jatoli village. Explore the nearby surroundings in the evening before resting at a hotel or homestay, gearing up for upcoming adventures.
Day 2 Jatoli Village to Kathaliya camp Camp 6-7 hrs trek max altitude - 12,200 ft.
Following breakfast, trek to Kathaliya camp before continuing to Dhakuri, spanning 14 km. Descend into the valley and ascend to the camp. Relish dinner and spend the night in tents or a rest house, rejuvenating for the journey ahead.
Day 3 Kathaliya camp to Base camp (Shukram Cave) 5-6 hrs trek an altitude - 14,700 ft.
After breakfast, begin a 5 to 6-hour ascent to Base Camp. Nestle into tents near Sukraam Cave, immersed in mountain tranquility, readying for the upcoming journey.
Day 4 Rest day at Base Camp and acclimatization day.
Today, rest at Base Camp for acclimatization, aiding your body in adjusting to altitude. Engage in light activities, relishing the serene surroundings, and preparing yourself for the upcoming challenges, ensuring readiness for the journey ahead.
Day 5 Base Camp to Advanced Base Camp Load Ferry 15,800 ft. and back to Base Camp.
After breakfast, embark on the trek from Base Camp to ABC. The arduous ascent to Garuda Peak spans 4-5 hours, navigating through moraine-strewn terrain. Embrace the rugged beauty of the surroundings as you journey toward the peak.
Day 6 Base Camp to Advance Base Camp occupy max. altitude - 15,800 ft.
Indulging in a light breakfast and tea/coffee, ascend to ABC. At Tharkot’s summit, witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over Maktoli Peak, fully immersing yourself in the majestic beauty of the Himalayas.
Day 7 Advance base camp to Camp 1 rout open max altitude - 16,600 ft and back to Advance base camp.
Today, transport supplies from ABC to Camp 1, then return to ABC for the night. This logistical arrangement ensures readiness for the onward journey while offering the comfort of familiar surroundings for a restful evening.
Day 8 Advance base camp to occupy Camp 1 an altitude - 16,600 ft.
Today, advance to Camp 1 to establish and inaugurate it for our expedition. Revel in the satisfaction of setting up camp and spend the night, eagerly embracing the anticipation of the journey that lies ahead.
Day 9 The day climb from Camp 1 to Camp -2,max altitude - 17,500 ft and back to Camp 1.
Today, ferry supplies from Camp 1 to Camp 2 before returning to Camp 1 for the night. This logistical task ensures provisions for the journey ahead while providing a familiar resting place for the evening.
Day 10 Camp 1 to occupy Camp - 2, an altitude - 18,400 ft.
Proceed to establish Camp 2, securing ropes as necessary for safety. Prepare for the following day’s summit push, ensuring all arrangements are in place. Spend the night in tents, readying for the ascent.
Day 11 Camp -2 to load-ferry to Summit camp max. altitude - 18,400 ft and back to Camp -2.
Today, we’ll advance to summit Camp, inaugurating it for our expedition. Later, relish an overnight stay in Camp 2, soaking in the anticipation of the journey ahead while ensuring all preparations are meticulously in place.
Day 12 Camp-1 to occupy Summit Camp an altitude - 18,400 Ft. Camp 2 to occupy Summit Camp an altitude - 19,200 ft. 20,699 ft and back to Camp 1
Today is dedicated to occupying summit camp, where we’ll unwind and enjoy a tranquil night’s stay. Embrace the serenity of the surroundings, preparing both physically and mentally for the challenges ahead.
Day 13 Summit Camp to attemped Summit an altitude - 20,313 ft and back to Base camp.
Today, we embark on our summit push between 2-3 am. At the summit, marvel at the breathtaking vistas of peaks like Kamet and Nanda Devi. Cherish the moment before descending to camp 1 for the night.
Day 14 Base camp to Kathaliya Camp 5-6 hrs trek an altitude - 12000 ft.
Today, we retreat to Sundardhunga camp, journeying back amidst the tranquil wilderness. Settle in for the night in tents, reflecting on the memorable experiences of the expedition while enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the campsite.
Day 15 Sunderdhunga camp to Jatoli village 5-6 hrs trek an altitude - 12000 ft.
Today, we journey to Jatoli village, where we’ll delight in an overnight stay, relishing the warmth of hospitality amidst scenic surroundings. Embrace the tranquility of the village as we unwind from the expedition’s adventures.
Day 16 Jatoli village to Bageshwar 13 km trek than 3-4 hrs drive to Bageshwar.
Embark on a 13 km, 3-4 hour trek from Jatoli village to Bageshwar, followed by a 3-4 hour drive. Depart from Bageshwar, concluding our journey with memories of the wilderness and the warmth of the mountains.
