The Satopanth Lake trek, originating from the remote Mana village near the Indo-China border in Uttarakhand, unfolds a journey of both spiritual significance and breathtaking natural beauty. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Badrinath and check-in hotel an altitude - 10,100 ft.
Badrinath, situated at 10,100 ft, is reached via a road that first runs along the Ganga Valley, later alongside its main tributary, Alaknanda. Accommodation is available at lodges or rest houses for overnight stays.
Day 2 Active Acclimatization at Badrinath and explore.
After a restful sleep, visit the Badrinath temple at your leisure in the morning—a must-do in this treeless, high-altitude location with oxygen levels at only 70% of sea level. Mana village is just 3 km from Badrinath.
Day 3 Trek to Laxmivan camp 5-6 hrs trek an altitude - 11,600 ft.
The trail gently ascends along the Alaknanda River. After a 3-hour walk, you reach Chamtoli Bugyal. Vasudhara Falls is opposite, across the river. The 9 km hike takes about 6 hours, with tent accommodation for the night.
Day 4 Trek from Laxmivan to Chakratirtha 4-5 hrs trek an altitude - 12,700 ft.
Today, we trek 11 km towards Satopanth Tal, reaching Sahastradhara after a few hours, where numerous waterfalls cascade down the mountains. We camp overnight at the beautiful Chakratirtha, 12,750 meters high, after a 6-7 hour journey.
Day 5 Trek from Chakratirtha to SatopanthTal-5 Km-4/5 hours- afternoon walk around the lake an altitude - 14,400 ft.
After breakfast, we trek to Satopanth Tal, climbing a steep ridge. Though short, the journey is tiring. The lake, shaped like a boomerang, has two arms spreading in opposite directions. We camp at Satopanth Tal, 14,430 feet high.
Day 6 Trek from Satopanth Tal to Bandhar camp 5-6 hrs trek an altitude - 12,400 ft.
Wake early to witness the sunrise and Chaukhamba peak’s reflection on Satopanth Tal. On clear days, see the legendary Swargarohini steps on Chaukhamba’s left. Bhim stopped here, while Yudhisthira continued alone to heaven via Swargarohini.
Day 7 Bandhar camp to Badrinath 4-5 hrs trek to Badrinath and check-in hotel.
We return to Badrinath via Laxmivan and Chamtoli. The 11 km journey may take 5-6 hours. We stay overnight in a lodge.
