The trek to the Valley of Flowers offers a mesmerizing journey through dense forests, alongside the Pushpawati River, and involves crossing numerous bridges, glaciers, and waterfalls along the way. Situated in the Chamoli district near Badrinath in Uttarakhand, approximately 300 km north of Rishikesh, the Valley of Flowers is a picturesque national park nestled amidst the Western Himalayas. Discovered in 1931, the Valley of Flowers is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its wild untamed blooms set against the backdrop of towering white peaks. Located at an altitude ranging from 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level, the gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park perfectly complements the rugged mountain wilderness of the Nanda Devi National Park to the east. The park is home to a variety of Himalayan flora, including rare and exotic species, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and botanists alike. The meeting point of the Himalayan ranges creates a unique ecosystem that supports a diverse range of plant and animal life. Among the birds found in the park are the majestic Himalayan monal pheasant and other high-altitude avian species. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Joshimath and check-in guest house/hotel an altitude - 6200 ft.
The journey to Joshimath will be long and challenging. Pass by four of the Panchprayag, the five holy confluences of the Ganga—Devaprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandaprayag. Keep your camera ready and stay alert for the scenic journey!
Day 2 Joshimath to Ghangaria Camp 2 hrs drive to Pulna village and 9 km trek,altitude - 8300 ft.
The distance from Joshimath to Pulna village is 3 km. En route, you can spot Vishnuprayag, the final holy confluence. The trek features a clearly defined stone-paved path with convenient stairs for an easier journey. Enjoy the scenic route!
Day 3 Ghangaria to Valley of Flower back Ghangaria.stay in hotel.
The trail is steep and stone-paved like the previous day, with many bridges and landslide areas in the valley. The valley exceeds expectations, bringing the Himalayan peaks to life. Marvel at flowers like Blue Poppy, Snake Foil, Meadow Geranium, and Himalayan Rose.
Day 4 Ghangaria to Hemkund and back Ghangaria max altitude - 15,200 feet.
The revered Sikh shrine, Hemkund Sahib, is the world’s highest gurudwara at 4,329 meters. Porters and mules are available if you wish to offload your load. Enjoy the evening for rest and relaxation.
Day 5 Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath an altitude is 6200 ft.
After breakfast, descend to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath. Badrinath is 25 km away and takes 1 hour to reach if road and weather conditions permit. Visit Badrinath if possible, then check in at your hotel.
